It is important to know what is in season when purchasing fresh fruit and vegetables. Seasonal produce may have environmental benefits, be fresher and taste much better than something that has travelled across the world or comes out of months of cold storage. Most importantly purchasing locally grown produce supports the Western Australian food industry and its communities.
