Experience WA’s Finest Flavours at this year Gascoyne Food Festival
If you love discovering fresh, seasonal produce and celebrating the people who grow, catch, and cook it the Carnarvon Long Table Lunch is your ultimate winter escape.
Held under the palms in a working banana plantation, this long, relaxed lunch is the centrepiece of the Gascoyne Food Festival – Australia’s largest regional gastronomic celebration – and a standout moment on the Western Australian food calendar.
This year’s event takes place on Saturday 26 July, with a showstopping menu curated by Ben Ing, formerly of the world-renowned Noma. With a deep respect for provenance and WA producers, Ben will serve up a hyper-local menu featuring sweet Carnarvon prawns, delicate Shark Bay seafood, sustainably raised beef from Bullara Station, and freshly-picked regional produce that truly captures the taste of the land and sea.
This immersive paddock-to-plate experience is crafted with 100% Western Australian produce, giving you a chance to connect with the growers, fishers and makers who power WA’s food economy.
The stunning setting, live music, flowing local wine, and great conversation is the hero event of the Gascoyne Food Festival, celebrating everything Buy West Eat Best stands for – local, fresh, and community-focused.

Extend Your Culinary Journey with the Gascoyne Food Trail
After the Long Table Lunch, take your appetite on the road with the new Taste of the Gascoyne Food Trail – a self-guided food adventure that lets you explore the region’s rich food culture at your own pace.
From Shark Bay to Exmouth, participating venues will be serving up signature dishes featuring fresh, local ingredients like Carnarvon mangoes, Exmouth tiger prawns, and Gascoyne-grown vegetables. It’s a delicious way to experience the region’s unique landscapes and vibrant food scene while supporting the small businesses and producers who bring WA’s food to life.
You can vote for your favourite trail dish and go in the draw to win prizes, with trail maps available online and at participating venues and visitor centres across the Gascoyne.
Whether you’re feasting at the Long Table or tasting your way through the trail, the Gascoyne Food Festival is a heartfelt reminder of what makes Western Australia’s food culture so special – our land, our people, and our produce.
