Matters of Taste

Like all great love stories, Matters of Taste's begins with a connection - a special one between you and local growers.

Owners Tracey and Anthony Cotterell have been making these important connections since 1997 - championing WA-grown produce, the farmers who grow it, and the value of cooking what's in season.

The couple’s one-of-a-kind, immersive food tours take guests behind the scenes, offering rare access to working farms, artisan producers, and regional kitchens across the state. Every itinerary is carefully crafted to tell the true story of WA food – from paddock and orchard to plate – while supporting local communities and fostering meaningful connections.

Anthony and Tracey have built long-standing relationships with growers and makers across WA, and are proud to showcase their work through authentic, down-to-earth experiences. Whether it’s meeting a truffle grower in Manjimup or sharing a meal on a remote cattle station in the Pilbara, their tours create unforgettable food moments.

Matters of Taste’s commitment also extends to education. Through Tracey’s pop-up cooking classes in Perth and online platform The Cooks Collective, she inspires home cooks to use fresh, seasonal and local ingredients. Watch the entertaining and informative videos and make delicious recipes to share with family and friends.
