Managing director Sue Daubney said the award, announced at a gala evening in November 2023, was a testament to all the hard work the team puts in to making the very best milk.
“This encompasses all the decisions we make from how we care for our cows, our world-class processing facility in Northcliffe, through to our sustainable packaging,” she says. “It all makes a difference and we’re proud to be recognised for producing premium quality milk.”
The Northcliffe farm is home to more than 1500 healthy dairy cows, specifically bred to produce that much loved milk (and let’s not forget the cream, either).
The herd is hand reared as calves and nurtured to develop into placid dairy cattle, which are milked twice daily in the 90-stand rotary dairy, built in 2000.
With loyal customers all over the State, Sue says the local community stretches much further than the South West region they call home. It’s one of the reasons she’s delighted Bannister Downs has been named the People’s Choice. “We love winning awards from consumer votes – it tells us we’re on the right path.”
