Bogdanich Farms

Bogdanich Farms began life in 1935 when newlyweds Ante Bogdanic and Albina Zaninovic bought 2ha of swamp land in Gribble Road, Gwelup.

The land didn't require any irrigation, so the couple grew top quality celery, tomatoes, cauliflower and beans. The family bought land in Madeley in 1968 and expanded the farm to 8ha.

With demand increasing, the main production was moved in 1999 to West Gingin, about 100km north of Perth. Bogdanich Farms now harvests more than 13 million plants a year.

Andrew and Michael are the third generation of the family to work in the business. The farm now operates more than 160ha of land supplying local markets, chain stores and specialist retailers. The main crops are lettuce, cauliflower, cabbage, celery and broccoli.

With new facilities, modern technology and new machinery, Bogdanich Farms have developed a culture of quality, both with what they produce and the way they manage their farms
