Tucker Bush

Tucker Bush offers a range of native plants with edible fruit, nuts, shoots, leaves and roots, as well as native herbs.

Bush food has sustained generations of Aboriginal people but most of our food has been grown from imported plants.

Founded in 2015 by horticulturalist Mark Tucek, Tucker Bush started with a dream to bring Australia’s unique flavours back into the mainstream so that future generations can connect with the land’s rich history.

From just three bush food species nurtured from seed, Tucker Bush has grown to more than 60 varieties that are finding favour with chefs seeking to add something special and truly Australian to their dishes. The plants can be bought through select retailers.

Tucker Bush’s range of dried native herbs, including pepperberry leaves, cinnamon myrtle and wattleseed, can be bought online, where you’ll find some wonderful recipes showcasing the native ingredients, too.
