Buy West Eat Best's Taste of WA a celebration of food from our abundant Western Australian primary food producing regions.

Join us at the new Yagan Square development located in the arms of Perth's horseshoe bridge, opposite the bus port for a free foodie event hosted by Western Australia's very own food ambassador Don Hancey.

Chef Don Hancey will be supported by chefs who represent each region to showcase and present to you a tasting platter of food that best represents their regions unique produce.

The Peel region was the first of the Taste of WA event series with regional supporters Chef Jason Hutchen (Redmanna) and Chef Kenny McHardy (Manuka Woodfire Kitchen and WA's Celebrity Signature Dish 2017 winning chef representing the Peel region) joining Don Hancey. The second of the series brought the diverse Gascoyne region to Yagan Square and partnered with the Carnarvon Visitors Centre to showcase a Farm Direct Pop-Up Market where the public was given the fantastic opportunity to buy the freshest, sun-kissed produce direct.

Buy West Eat Best's Taste of WA Swan Valley Region and Surrounds is the third of the series which was held on Sunday 9th September at Yagan Square. Chef Don Hancey spoke with the regions producers and top chefs who are inspired by the produce, practices, people, flavour, food and of course the wine that make up the regions rich and robust character, including; Iron Chef slayer and Houghton Kitchen’s Head Chef Herb Faust, slow food philosopher Chef Vincenzo Velletri, and Dale Tilbrook who is a knowledge custodian of Australian native bush foods.

Taste of WA South West event will be taking place on Sunday 2nd December at Yagan Square, with more details to come.
