Core Cider

Core Cider is an authentic farm venue and bistro offering exceptional artisan ciders and orchard events.

For more than 80 years we have cultivated our orchard and offer so many ways for whole families to experience the magnificence of this fourth generation, 16ha property.

Enjoy farm-to-table food from our Orchard Bistro, and cider tastings and events in our cellar door, Harvest Room. See where the magic happens in The Old Apple Shed, and unwind with a picnic on the green and pizzas from our Cider Garden bar.

And of course, our ciders are made from freshly pressed pears and apples grown in our orchard. Our range includes:

Core Cider Perilous
Crafted using the traditional method of sparkling production, this award-winning sparkling pear was made to highlight our best pears. There’s an intense perfume of elderflower, lychee and sweet pear. This sweetness is tempered on the palate by a lively, fine bead and crisp acidity, reminiscent of a quality muscat. Fresh lychee returns along with clean, true pear flavour that is present from the first sip and lasts long after the liquid is gone.

CoreRupted
CoreRupted is our most refined cider with four different production methods to balance flavours, aromas and textures of eight different apple varieties. Brilliant straw in colour, you’d be forgiven for mistaking the lively bubbles for a freshly poured glass of champagne. The fresh, perfumed apple aromas dominate – almost like candy if it weren’t for a hint of lemon butter and fresh cut grass. The first sip is vigorously spritzy with a bright acidity, like biting into a tart green apple.

Harvest Moon
Core’s highest premium product, Harvest Moon Vintage 2020 has been created using the best of Kingston Black cider apples to create a delectable and light number. This single varietal cider pours a pure amber colour with a fine, yet persistent bead. The aromas are super fresh – notes of cut grass, tangy sourdough bread and white balsamic are the precursor to a gripping acidity on the palate that will ensure this cider becomes best friends with a strong, gooey cheese.
