Goldfields-Esperance

The region is located in the south-eastern corner of Western Australia, with the coastal part of the region housing a mixed economy of agriculture, fisheries, tourism and mining.

On top of having a strong wheat, barley, sheep and beef cattle production within the region, it also features one of the deepest ports in the Southern Hemisphere, Port Esperance.

The most common species caught with the region include pink snapper, bight redfish, shark, pilchard, King George whiting and Australian herring. Southern rock lobsters and deep sea crabs are also fished in the area.
